The Living East Board consists of individually appointed members and also representatives from the region’s cultural agencies. The Chair of the Consortium is appointed by the Secretary of State in accordance with guidance issued by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. Methods and terms of appointment are set out in the Articles of Association.

The Board members, appointed by the Chair, are appointed in accordance with the relevant governing documents and guidance issued by the Commissioner for Public Appointments, in line with Nolan principals and underwritten by independent scrutiny.
